Yes, a negative marking of one mark is deducted for the incorrect answers. Candidates can shuffle their answers or opt for "Mark for review" within the exam time duration, which is 2.5 hours (150 minutes). For each correct answer, four marks is rewarded. However, there is no negative marking for unanswered questions. Candidates are advised to check the KIITEE exam pattern and marking scheme carefully before attempting the answers.

The KIITEE examination process is conducted online. Candidates will be alloted a computer with a log in password (available on the KIITEE hall ticket). A timer will be displayed on the screen and the test will automatically close once the allotted time is over.

The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has issued the exam pattern for BTech in the information brochure. The KIITEE-Engineering 2025 pattern is as follows -
- The mode of the exam is online with a test duration of 150 minutes.
- A total of 40 questions will be asked in the computer-based test.
- Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- The KIITEE question paper will be in English.
- Each correct answer carries four marks and there is negative marking of one mark for an incorrect option.

No, KIITEE admit card must be carried along with a valid photo ID proof. No soft copy of the hall ticket is allowed. The admit card of KIITEE will be available a few days before the exam date, which will include complete information regarding the exam schedule and the applicant appearing the exam.
