However, in terms of affordability, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue M.Tech at KLE Technological University ranges from INR 1.4 Lacs to INR 3 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue M.Tech at University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is INR 1 lakh.

KLE Technological University provides four MTech specialisations for students to choose from. These specialisations are:
- MTech in VLSI design and Embedded Systems
- MTech in Computer Science Engineering
- MTech in Design Engineering
- MTech in Structural Engineering
