The students have to score more than 80 to 90 percent aggregate marks in the entrance exam to take admission.
The Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering and Diploma in Information Technology is a courses under State Council of Technical Education, Nagaland under the Directorate of Technical Education. The duration of the Course is 3 years. Admission to the course will be done during May/June every year. Admission notice is published in the local newspapers and some national newspapers about a month prior.

Protsahan Puraskar Scheme: This scholarship scheme has been designed for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female Students. These students qualify for fee waive-off only after they have cleared papers in the first attempt. Additionally, they are asked to submit certain proofs that include:

You can get admission into the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Kohima with 70% marks in 12th, but you have to pass the entrance exam conducted at the national level for admission in B.Tech courses in different government and some private colleges. Some of the exams conducted at the national level are the JEE for engineering and CUET and many other examinations conducted by the university itself.
