The institute selects candidates for the course based on their score in IISER Aptitude Test for the ones who are applying through SCB channel. Other than this, candidates satisfying the JEE Advanced cut off or a valid score in KVPY are also granted admission.
Minimum 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage, not only in majoring subject) or an equivalent C.G.P.A on a 10-point scale (55% or an equivalent C.G.P.A on a 10-point scale in aggregate for SC, ST, and PwD candidates) in B.Sc. any specialisation or B.Tech.

B.Sc or MBBS degree with at least 60% marks are eligible for admission. During the admission to Integrated Ph.D. program, the candidates with a valid score of any national common aptitude tests.
Whereas, there are three channels for admission :
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Channel.
- Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology Channel.
- IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) Channel.
Hence, if a candidate has scored 60% in their class 12th, they can go for B.Sc in their graduation.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, St Paul's College in Bangalore, and not in Kolkata, cannot perhaps be called as the best in Bangalore but all the same it has a very good reputation among students for good faculty as well as a well oiled placements cell. Located on a 13 acre campus near the famous Peenya industrial area of Bangalore the college offers courses under various streams. College also makes sure that those students who are not very well in studies are offered tuition or coaching in addition to regular classes so that they come up in the academic area.
