Students seeking admission to the NLU Kolkata BA LLB (H) course are required to fill out the CLAT 2025 application form. Along with the form, students are required to upload the following documents:

NLU Kolkata has a total of 132 seats available for the BA LLB programme. This implies that a total of 132 students can take admission to this programme in a single academic year. These seats are allocated based on students performance in the CLAT exam. Students interested in getting a seat must participate in the CLAT counselling process.

BA LLB seats offered by NLU Kolkata are allocated to applicants based on their performance in the accepted entrance exam, i.e., CLAT. Thus, candidates aspiring to get a seat must appear for the exam. After the announcement of results, students must participate in the counselling process. If allocated a seat, students are required to report to the institute for verification of documents. IISER Kolkata offers admission to courses based on entrance exam. Candidates who have received the provisional KVPY fellowship award are eligible to apply for admissions. Students are admitted to the BS-MS Dual Degree programme through the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) via the IISER Aptitude Test, and JEE Advanced scores. On the other hand, IISER Kolkata conducts an interview round to shortlist candidates for various programmes (MS in Space Physics, I-PhD, and post-doctoral research).
