Candidates aspiring to enrol in the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Also, the candidate should have a valid rank in JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA at IIIT Kottayam for the BTech programme. Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Kottayam for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

The average package for the BTech programme during IIIT Kottayam placements 2023 was INR 14.32 LPA. Also, 100% placement rate was recorded during placements 2023 in which a total of 76 companies participated. In addition to this, the the highest domestic package and the highest international package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 58.93 LPA and INR 23 LPA, respectively.

IIIT Kottayam BTech admission is based on a valid rank in JEE-Main. Candidates aspiring to be admitted to the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must, candidates need to have a valid JEE-Main exam above the closing rank mentioned in the cutoff list. The admission process consists of twos steps:

No, candidates who haven’t taken the JEE-Main exam will not be entertained for the admission process at IIIT Kottayam. IIIT Kottayam inducts students through a valid rank in JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA at IIIT Kottayam for the BTech programme. As per the cutoff list released by IIIT Kottayam for admission to its flagship BTech programme the closing ranks for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) for the year 2020, 2021 & 2022 were 605, 579 & 902, respectively. This clearly shows that the closing rank for the CSE branch at IIIT Kottayam has recorded a significant decline. Also, the closing rank for BTech in Electronics & Commmunication Engineering (ECE) recorded an excessive decrease. In addition to this, the closing rank for Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) branch with a slight decrease have been in the same slab.
