KRIMS is located in Bhubaneswar and is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.The allied medical Science courses of KRIMS are approved by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Odisha and affiliated to State Board for Allied Medical Science It is managed by Naba Digant Educational Trust (NDET), under its flagship organisation Koustuv Group of Institutions (KGI).

To be eligible for a BSc degree at Koustuv Research Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhubaneswar, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the Science stream from a recognised board. Additionally, candidates must have a strong foundation in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It is also important for applicants to clear any entrance exams or interviews conducted by the institute to secure admission.
