About 2024 placements, during the year 2024 organizations, exceeding two hundred, were participating in the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. The areas that were most staffed were the basic industries and information technology firms. To get into the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) for B.Tech.courses the cut-off marks required are pretty high always, but depending on the branch you are aiming for, the competition level of the year and other factors, 200 marks in JEE Mains can get you a good chance for the course that you are applying for in this college. Apart from the TNEA where it selects its students from Class 12 scores, they may accept the scores of the JEE Mains for management quota admissions. With this score, you are assured of a seat in a course like CSE or ECE under the management quota.

KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) has been under the title of a second-tier organizations. It is accepted for its constructing, instructing and fairly good placement records mainly in computer Science and engineering streams. However, it is not in the Tier 1 category with IIT and NIT all branded as institutions of national level and premier academic research institutes.

The last date to apply for the KPRIET is different for TNEA and for management quota admission. Generally, the TNEA counseling admissions get completed in September itself but the admission through management quota is generally done on first come first served basis and such quota admissions can go on till the intake is complete. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech. at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology are :
1. Educational Qualification: Candidates for the course should be those who have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as the subjects of the examination.
