Kumaun University

The minimum eligibility criteria required by the university to get admissions into BSc courses is candidates must complete their Class 12 from Science stream (PCB/ PCM). In addition, for admission to some of the BSc specialisation, candidates from any stream can apply. Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories). Moreover, for admission, the university releases the merit of selected candidates after evaluating candidates' achieved scores in higher senior secondary/ Class 12. 

Kumaun University offers BA courses for the duration of three years. Further, it is divided into six semesters and offered in full-time mode. The university offers BA courses through various departments, such as Geography, Home Science, Political Science, Kumaoni Language, Economics, Music, etc. The names of some of the offered specializations are as follows:

Kumaun University offers scholarships to the BA programme students who are meritorious or who belong to particular categories. Kumaun University BA scholarships are offered by the University, UGC as and various departments of the Government. The names of some of the offered scholarships are CSIR Scholarship, Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship, merit-cum-means Scholarships, etc. 

Kumaun University and its affiliated colleges offer a total number of 41,596 seats for BA courses accommodatingly. The university is affiliated with more than 55 colleges. All these colleges offer BA courses in several specialisations, such as Hindi, Economics, Sanskrit, History, Music, etc. To get a seat in BA courses, candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria and must qualify for the merit list released by the university.
