Kumaun University offers scholarships to the BSc programme students who are meritorious or who belong to particular categories. Kumaun University BSc scholarships are offered by the University, UGC as and various departments of the Government. The names of some of the offered scholarships are CSIR Scholarship, Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship, merit-cum-means Scholarships, etc.

Kumaun University offers a total number of 18,212 seats. On the other hand, the Doon University only offers 200 seats for the BSc course. The reason for this big difference in seat intake is because Kumaun University is affiliated with around 35 colleges that offer BSc courses in several specializations. However, Doon University does not offer BSc courses with affiliated colleges.

The total tuition fee for BSc courses at Sri Devi Suman Uttrakhan University ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 5 lakh. On the other hand, the tuition fee for a BSc course at Kumaun University ranges from INR 2,200 to INR 1.9 lakh. Therefore, it can be explicitly seen that the tuition fee of Kumaun University is more affordable than Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. The recent median package offered to BSc graduates at Kumaun University is going to be released soon. However, as per the NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during Kumaun University UG three-year placements 2023 stood at INR 1.2 LPA. According to the comparison of placement statistics of the years 2022 and 2023, it can be seen that the median package was improved. Therefore it can be expected that in this year too the median package will improve.

Kumaun University and its affiliated colleges offer a total number of 18,212 seats for BSc courses accommodatingly. The university is affiliated with around 35 colleges. All these colleges offer BSc courses in several specialisations, such as Chemistry, Biology, Forestry. Agriculture, etc. To get a seat in BSc courses, candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria and must qualify for the merit list released by the university.

No, candidates are not allowed to get direct admissions into BSc courses at Kumaun University. Kuman University is a state-public university that does not offer direct admissions to BSc courses; candidates are required to qualify for the merit list, which the university releases on the basis of candidates' achieved scores in their higher senior secondary. However, there are chances that some of the university-affiliated colleges offer direct/ management admissions to BSc courses. To know this, candidates are suggested to visit the official website of the respective college.

At the filling out the BSc application form at Kumaun University, candidates are required to attach several documents. Moreover, at the time of admission, candidates are required to submit some of the important documents for admissions. The required documents are as follows:
- Copy of High school certificate
- Copy of mark sheet of qualifying examination
- Category certificate
- NCC, NSS, Sports, etc. certificates
- Affidavit in case of gap year (IF APPLICABLE)

As per the information available on the official website of the university, the deadline to apply for many UG courses at Kumaun University was June 20, 2025. Thus, candidates were required to apply for the course before this deadline. Moreover, after filling out the application form, candidates had to pay the application fee, which was non-refundable.
