Candidates must have Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% aggregate in Science stream (the non-science stream is applicable for some specialisation) from a recognised board of education. Eligible candidates can apply directly through the official website of the university. Kumaun University offers a total number of 18,212 seats. On the other hand, the Doon University only offers 200 seats for the BSc course. The reason for this big difference in seat intake is because Kumaun University is affiliated with around 35 colleges that offer BSc courses in several specializations. However, Doon University does not offer BSc courses with affiliated colleges.

There are several other components that candidates can consider while comparing the universities, such as placement packages, seats, affiliation, accreditation, etc.
