Kuvempu University Eligibility

Candidates who have passed a valid bachelor's degree course from a recognised university can apply. The applicants must hold the relevant documents (copies/original) as well. These documents are required by the university during the form filling or the admission confirmation. The university accept applications of eligible candidates only. 

For admission to B.Ed course at a college affiliated with the Kuvempu University, it is crucial that the aspirant fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. Candidates who have passed a valid bachelor's degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply. The applicants must hold the relevant documents for verification purposes as well. 

Candidates must pass a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses, and graduation is required to apply for PG programmes. Below is Kuvempu University eligibility criteria for popular courses:

Candidates need to complete graduation with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for Category - I, Sports and Persons with Disability and 35% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Kuvempu University BPEd course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification. Besides, the selection for BPEd will be based on entrance exam conducted by the university.

Kuvempu University selects candidates for BPEd based on entrance exam conducted by the university. There shall be an entrance test for admission to BPEd conducted by the university. The details of syllabi and pattern of entrance test are given in the respective Department Profile. The admission notification for BPEd releases in October. After completion of the selection process, the university releases a merit list to announce the name of selected candidates. 

Candidates need to complete master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) or equivalent grade under the grading system can apply for Kuvempu University PhD. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification. Besides, candidates need to qualify UGC-NET, GATE or university entrance exam for admission to PhD course.

Given below are the eligibility criteria for admission to the MEd programme at Kuvempu University:

• The candidate should have passed B.Ed/ B.El.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ BA.Ed / B.A.B.Ed or Bsc.B.Ed (integrated)/or D.El.Ed / D.Ed with a bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/BCom, etc.) with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories)
• Candidates based on their marks in the qualifying examination will be selected for the final seat allotment.

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme at the Kuvempu University must meet the eligibility criteria constituted by the university:

• The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in any stream.
• Candidates should complete graduation with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for Category - I, Sports and Persons with Disability and 35% aggregate for SC/ ST)
• Candidates need to pass Karnataka PGCET/ KU Entrance Exam (for unfilled seats)

Below are the eligibility criteria for the MCom programme at Kuvempu University:

• Candidate should have passed BBA, BCom or BBM from a recognised university.
• Candidates based on their marks in the final year of the aforementioned programmes will be shortlisted for further admission process.
• Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at Kuvempu University for documentation and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.
