Candidates applying to the UG courses offered by the University must have cleared 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized Board.
Candidates applying to the University's PG courses should have cleared 10+2 and must hold a Bachelor's degree. Also, the candidate should have secured a minimum of 45% in the qualifying exam. Candidates belonging to sports and physically handicapped categories must have secured 40% marks and candidates belonging to SC & ST categories must have obtained 35% marks to be able to apply.
Note: Aspirants are advised to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned by Kuvempu University for the course in which they wish to secure admission.
Admission Process:
The University conducts entrance test for admission to some of its PG courses. Admission to rest of the courses is on the basis of merit.

Eligibility:
For the IAS IFS & IPS, a candidate must be a citizen of India. For the IRS and other services, a candidate must be one of the following:
A citizen of India
*A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Educational Qualification:
Here you can get details like Qualification for IAS IFS & IPS from below. All candidates must have as a minimum one of the following educational qualifications:
*A degree from a Central, State or Deemed university
*A degree received through correspondence or distance education
*A degree from an open university
*A qualification recognised by the Government of India as being equivalent to one of the above
Age Limit:
*A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on August 1 of the year of examination. For OBC the upper age limit is 35, and for SC and ST the limit is 37 years.
