LLM entrance examinations test the academic knowledge of the candidates who have completed their basic legal education. These entrance examinations are competitive as well as timed, and test the candidates' capabilities to answer questions from various branches of law in a short period of time. Many entrance examinations are either based on objective questions as well as subjective questions. It is suggested that candidates should attempt more than one entrance examination in order to secure admission to top Law schools. 

There are more than 20 LLM entrance examinations which are conducted to secure admission across central, state, as well private universities offering LLM courses. The popular entrance examinations are CUET PG, TS PGLCET, CLAT PG, AILET,  etc. 

The standard Admission process for the LLM course across every college is the same, and the candidates desiring to pursue LLM can check the points given below:

• Candidates must select the college where they want to apply for the  LLM course. 
• They must also decide which specialisation to choose as per their academic goals.
• Candidates must have completed LLB or a five-year integrated LLB from a recognised university. They must have also scored 50% on average in their course to be eligible to pursue an LLM.
• For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum marks scored in graduation are 45% in aggregate.
• Candidates must then check the relevant entrance examination, which would secure admission in their desired institution.
• They must duly fill out the application form and submit all the relevant documents, and pay the application fee as per their category. 
• They must score a decent rank for securing a position in the merit list and be offered admission in their desired college.
