Loughborough University has two campuses located in different parts of the United Kingdom. Loughborough University is situated in the heart of the UK and in the midlands, whereas, Loughborough University London can be found to the South-East of the country. One major difference between these two campuses of the same university is that Loughborough University offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At Loughborough University the standard IELTS English language requirement is 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each individual element (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Some Schools/Departments may require higher levels of English language than those specified.
For those students who do not meet the IELTS requirement, Loughborough University offers a number of pre-sessional English language programmes as an alternative way to satisfy the requirements.

The requirements are as followed:
- 60%
- Applicants must have undergraduate degree classifications i.e. first-class honours, upper second-class honours and lower second-class honours
- Institutions listed on the Indian Ranking of Higher Educational Institutions Framework with 55% (First) in Lower second-class honours degree
- All other Indian institutions with 60% (First) in Lower second-class or honours degree
A 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) in any discipline (except computer science).

The CAS letter is issued once all conditions of the offer have been met and your place is confirmed at the university. Your CAS can only be produced three months prior to the start of your course. The majority of CAS’ are sent out in August in plenty of time for your visa to be granted. As soon as you receive the letter, you can file for a UK student visa.
