Dear, to take admission in B.Tech Mechanical engineeringprogrammeyou have to fulfill the eligibilty criteria of theprogrammethat is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying Jee Mains or LPUNEST or CUET.
I would say LPU is better for mechanical engineering based on the following point.LPU is good for Mechanical and automobile engineering. Good placements in a core company as well as a software company. Other than participating in different events like a go-kar.

Hello there, the level of LPUNEST is the same as that of your last qualification. LPUNEST is strictly based on your last qualification. Of course, verbal ability, analytical ability have been added. I am sure you do not need to get scared. The university has prepared ample documents to guide you in this regard. Go to the LPUNEST website. It is not compulsory for all to appear for LPUNEST to take admission at LPU. But as LPUNEST is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. So, I suggest you appear in LPUNEST to get maximum benefit even if it is not mandatory for the course you are seeking admission to.
LPU offers more than 150 courses, and there are certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. In general, the score in the previous qualification should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPUNES

The sample papers, duration, format of the paper and marks distribution of LPUNEST for every course is provided in detail at the website. You can refer to the syllabus and sample papers available at the lpunest link to prepare for LPUNEST.
The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student.
The scholarship availed by the candidate is applicable throughout the course duration.

In some courses it's compulsory to appear and qualify that particular exam the courses like B.Tech, B.Arch and MBA, but in courses like BA B.Com, BBA, it's not necessary to appear in LPUNEST if you want scholarship then you can apply for the same but you are interested in that also then there in no need to appear in the exam called LPUNEST.
