No, for BTech courses, admissions are not possible without clearing the LPU NEST exams. Students must first register for this entrance exam. Then, appear for this entrance examination. Then, with valid scores apply on the official website of the university. 

The LPU NEST 2026 exam is ongoing. The phase 1 exam will be conducted till February 5, 2026. The exam registration and slot booking must be done before the last date to appear for the exam. 

The LPU NEST computer-based exam (CBT) does not require pens or stationery items. Candidates must use the provided rough paper to write answers because all answers must be entered directly through the on-screen interface. In remotely proctored exams, students can use white blank sheets only after obtaining permission from the proctor but they cannot use notebooks.

For the remotely proctored LPU NEST, use a primary laptop/desktop and secondary mobile with front camera. The testing environment requires a silent room that has proper lighting and continuous power supply together with the latest version of Chrome browser. The official portal requires users to complete test setup procedures before their scheduled test day.

For LPU NEST exam day, you must bring two printed admit card copies, a government ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License), LPUNEST application form photocopy, and optionally a college photo ID—no entry without these, per guidelines. Prohibited electronic devices must remain unused at all times.

The LPU NEST admit card becomes essential for examination purposes on the designated test day.
