Hi,
Admission for MA Economics usually done through entrance exams as well as on merit basis. Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi University, Manipal University, Jawaharlal Nehru Universityand various other universities provide admissions through entrance test. Although, certain colleges like Delhi University reserves certain seats for merit basis admissions along with entrance based admissions. Colleges like Christ University, University of Hyderabad takes in application only through online/ direct mode as for Merit-based admissions. Thank you.

Hey,
Eligibility for MA Economics is:
Interested aspirants for Economics degree must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.
BA (Hons) in Economics subject a minimum aggregate score of 50% at the level of graduation.
Although, the eligibility criteria may differ for entrance exam procedure and merit-based admission process. As in Delhi University, the eligibility for merit-based admissions is aggregate 50% in BA (Hons) Economics done from DU only.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for UGC NET Exam. IGNOU is also a recognised university for UGC NET. As you said, your subject is Economics, therefore you are eligible to take your exam with Economics subject. Before applying, make sure that you have fulfilled the eligibility criteria or not. You wanted to apply for Professor post, so there is no upper age limit for applying but you should have minimum 55% marks in your master's.

Yes, you would be eligible for the course. The candidate is expected to have knowledge of Mathematics up to 10+2.
Candidates need to appear for the Entrance Test conducted by the University.
JNUEEE is the exam that is conducted for admission.
