A Master's in architecture in the USA is a 12-month to 48-month programme for international students. The programme itself is mandatory for obtaining a license as an architect in the USA. Around 100 universities in the USA offer the MArch programme at an affordable tuition fee. Students have to meet the entry requirements to get admission to the university.

As per some sources, the MArch course was discontinued by the college in April 2022. There is no other information related to the PG course as of now.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute requirements for M.Arch (Professional) course are:

  • A bachelor’s degree that is equivalent to a 4-year U.S. degree
  • GRE is not required for this page
  • Personal statement
  • CV

International students must have finished a bachelor's degree that was at least three years long to be eligible to apply for a master's programme at ETH Zurich. A Swiss University of Applied Sciences or 180 ECTS credits, equal to ETH Zurich, must be earned for the bachelor's degree.

Yes, admission to M.Arch course is based on Aptitude Test in GATE/ MAH M.Arch CET/ MGMU CET/ PERA CET score. Additionally, candidates must complete graduation to apply for the M.Arch course. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for document verification and fee payment. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat. The total tuition fee for M.Arch is INR 1.50 lakh. The fee excludes hostel charges and other admission components.

Due to accreditation requirements, all applicants seeking direct entry into the two-year M.Arch programme must have a pre-professional architecture degree (i.e. BAS, BES, BEDS, etc.). 

Pre-professional Architecture programs are those whose curriculum is designed to meet accreditation requirements established and cyclically reviewed by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB) or foreign equivalent.

It is not necessary for all aspirants to take this test. Only candidates with a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated subject area other than the course-specific ones need to take the exam. This exam is conducted by ETS. GRE Test scores shall be available 10 to 15 days from the examination. Read more about the exam here.

No, GATE is not compulsory as a valid rank in CEED is also acceptable. GATE is just one of the criteria for selection. Hence, candidates without a GATE score can also apply. Apart from this, it is necessary for each aspirant to meet the eligibility requirements or else they shall not be able to pass the document verification round even if selected based on the entrance test score.
