Satyam Fashion Institute conducts an entrance exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in the month of April /May each year.CET comprises of Creative Ability Test (CAT) 60%, General Ability Test (GAT) 10% and Situation Test 10% . The fee at IIFD Chandigarh for the Master's in Design is approximately Rs 2.5 lac to Rs 3 lacs per annum, but depending upon the specialisation preferred and the session in question, the amount differs accordingly. To get admission to MDes course at NIFT Delhi, candidates need to appear for the CAT/GAT exam and have a valid score. Further, candidates who meet the overall cutoff need to participate and perform well in the PI round for admission. Further, candidates must pass graduation in the relevant stream to be eligible to participate in the selection process.

For admission to MDes course at Anant National University, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are Entrance Test + Portfolio + PI and candidates must pass graduation from any recognised state/national board with a 50% aggregate. Candidates who have not completed graduation are not eligible for admission.
