Eligibility for the M.Ed  programme

(A) Candidate seeking admission to the M.Ed. programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in any one of the following programmes:

(i) B.Ed.

(ii) B.A. B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. (Integrated)

(iii) B. El. Ed.

(iv) D. El. Ed. /D.Ed./P.T.C. (Two years full-time programme recognised by NCTE) with an undergraduate/ Bachelor degree (with 50% marks in each)

Note: - Eligibility for admission to the M.Ed. shall be applied as per Govt/ UGC/ NCTE/ University norms from time to time.

(B) Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other applicable categories will be as per the rules

Given below are the eligibility criteria for admission to the MEd programme at Kuvempu University:

  • The candidate should have passed B.Ed/ B.El.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ BA.Ed / B.A.B.Ed or Bsc.B.Ed (integrated)/or D.El.Ed / D.Ed with a bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/BCom, etc.) with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories)
  • Candidates based on their marks in the qualifying examination will be selected for the final seat allotment.

 In order to get admission to M.Ed, students need to pass graduation with B.Ed-BA/B.Ed-BSc/B.Ed or equivalent examination from a recognised university.

Admission to MJPRU is done through an in-house entrance exam, which is conducted by the university for the selection of candidates for M.Ed course.

Candidates must complete BEd or BA BEd / BSc BEd (Four Year Integrated Course) or BElEd (Bachelor of Elementary Education) or DElEd (Diploma of Elementary Education) with at least 50% aggregate to apply for KJ Somaiya School of Education M.Ed programme. Aspirants must also qualify PERA CET M.Ed, CUET-PG or MAH CET to get admission in M.Ed course.

The university does not have course-specific admission criteria for MEd course. However, in order to get admission in MEd course the students need to follow the overall admission process:

Step one: Visit the official website.

Step two: Register with basic details.

Step three: Enter the credentials after registration.
