There are a total of 60 seats available in the MBA programme of MIET Engineering College. Aspirants are offered seats in MBA course based on the TANCET score of the aspirants. After passing TANCET, candidates need to participate in TANCET Counselling for seat allotment. Candidates who have passed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for MIET Engineering College MBA programme. Yes, MIET Engineering College offers lateral entry to BE/ BTech course. Candidates who have completed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for lateral entry. Besides, aspirants with a degree in BSc with Mathematics are also eligible to apply.

MIET Engineering College offers a four-year BE/ BTech courses at the UG level. Candidates who have passed the higher secondary examination can apply for the course. Yes, MIET Engineering College offers admission through both government and management quota. Admission via Management Quota are conducted as per the norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Consortium of Self-Financing Colleges. Candidates must have a pass with minimum average marks in related subjects, including vocational theory and practicals combined to apply for admission under the Management Quota.

MIET Engineering College admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The college considers qualifying exam scores of the aspirants followed by TNEA rank for admission to BE/ BTech courses. Besides, the selection for MBA and ME courses is based on TANCET and GATE/ CEETA PG scores. Aspirants have to appear for respective entrance exam counselling for admission.

Candidates applying for BE/ BTech cannot get into MIET Engineering College without TNEA rank. Aspirants after completing Class 12 have to participate in the TNEA Counselling.
