Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Yes, in B.Com you will also have economics subject in the semester. So, economics pass students are eligible for M.Phil.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master's degree in a relevant/ allied subject or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Admission to M. hill programs is open to a student who holds at least a second class Master's Degree in the concerned subject with 55% or more marks. There is no age limitation on the Ph.D. Eligibility In India. Applicants of any age fulfilling the qualifications criteria can apply for Ph.D. Admissions. Candidates of any age can do the Ph.D. course in India.
