The syllabus for CSIR NET generally includes the following subjects: Physical Sciences: Mathematical Methods of Physics Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetic Theory, Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics Electronics and Experimental Methods. |

The UGC NET syllabus is divided into two sections that is Paper 1 and Paper 2.
