As last year I got admission in UVIC Canada but due to some problem couldn't make it, so I guess I can help you with the procedure.
A. Join Facebook group for people who are looking for MS in Canada.
B. Write GRE and TOFEL /IELTS and get good score.
C. By that time get all the transcripts and reference letter from your undergraduate college i.e. the engineering college, if you have work experience get letter of recommendation, either from your manager or team lead, and ask the person who referred you to respond any mail, if they get from the respective colleges.
D. Do deep and detail research about colleges.
E. Either you can go to consultancy or directly you can contact the college by mail or telephone (I did myself) to know more details about the admission procedure.
F. Start applying to colleges, while applying they will ask you to submit all the reference letter and statement of purpose e.g. why you want to join MS? If accepted, they will send the loan docs and i10 card.
G. After getting i10 apply for loan as soon as possible and then apply for VISA.
H. Start packing.
