Candidates are eligible to apply for MSc in Biotechnology if they have a BSc (Agriculture)/(Horticulture) degree from a recognised university by State and Central Government with a 6.5 OGPA and 7.0 GPA in the concerned discipline on 10 points scale (5.5 OGPA and 6.0 GPA for SC/ST/PH). To apply for MSc Biotechnology, follow the step-wise SOA application process mentioned below:
Step 1: Apply and qualify for the SAAT conducted by the institute.
Step 2: Students with a valid JEE Main score will be exempted from SAAT.

Yes, you can start your preparation when you are in B.Sc. you can give IIT JAM entrance exam for admission in M.Sc biotechnology. For this exam you can check syllabus of this exam and prepare according to it. After qualifying this exam, you can get admission in top IIT colleges for M.Sc. where you meet brilliant, minded people. You can get good place for your study. If you are not interested in this so you can simply get good marks in B.Sc and after that you can apply in any M.Sc college. There is no exam for admission.

At the postgraduate level, Banaras Hindu University offers two-year MSc courses to students across various specialisations. The fee for MSc in Biotechnology ranges between INR 10,430 - INR 59,420. The fee is quite reasonable. Even if a student finds the fee a little high, they can apply for the scholarships offered by the BHU.
