The eligibility criteria for M.Sc. Biotechnology of St. Xavier's College Mumbai is given below.
Eligibility criteria : B.Sc. Biotechnology (3-year integrated course) degree examination of Mumbai University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto, with at least 6 units in Biotech (i.e. minimum required for majoring in the subject)
OR With three units in Biotechnology at the T.Y.B.Sc in combination with three units of any other major subject at the T.Y.B.Sc
Selection Process : Admission to the course will be purely merit based in accordance with the marks obtained in Biotechnology at the T.Y.B.Sc. examination.

Biotechnology has applications in the field of medical & veterinary sciences, chemical engineering, food and agriculture Science, pollution and environment protection, waste management. Chemistry has more scope than zoology and botany. If you want to pursue your career in teaching and in research then go for zoology and botany whereas in chemistry you have other scopes to work with Food manufacturing industries, chemical industries, pharmaceutical indus
