The MAP is the overall cut off percentile obtained by the candidates in the NEST exam. The highest MAP is 100th percentile. It is different for different categories. As 95 percentile for the General category, 90 percentile for OBC category and 75 percentile for SC/ ST/ Divyangjan category students.
Applicants need to secure the cutoff marks from the category they belong to; otherwise, they won't be able to pass the exam.

Applicants who will appear in NEST exam will only be able to check their score card by entering the login credetials.
The NEST 2024 scorecard will contain the information like candidates's name, category, marks secured section wise subject and total marks, percentile score, and last merit rank.
In case of any discrepancy in the details of the candidate or marks secured by them in different subject, applicants are advised to contact to the exam conducting authorities.

Applicants who will appear in NEST exam will only be able to check the result of NEST 2024. The result will be out on the official website in online mode only.
To check the result and score card, students need to enter user ID & password. This user id and password will be generated after filling the application form.
After downloading the result pdf, save it for future reference.

If NEST exam begins at 9:30 AM then normally the reporting time is mentioned in the admit card is 8:00 AM. But many a times students gets confused with the name and location of exam centre.
Hence it is advisable to reach the exam centre in the time. Atleast 10-15 minutes before the reporting time mentioned in the admit card.
As late enteries will not be entertained and in that case applicants might waste one year if he/she is not permitted to enter to the exam hall.

Candidates will be able to pay the application fee of NEST 2026 till April 12, 2026, by 11.30 PM. The last date to submit the application form is April 6, 2026. After all details on the NEST application form are filled, candidates need to pay the application fee. Candidates can make the payment of the NEST 2026 application fee online (through credit/debit card, net banking, UPI) modes. After the payment is done, applicants need to download the receipt of payment for future use.

Yes, students who want to appear in NEST 2024 exam must solve the NEST previous year question book which will help them in a better way. By checking the questions, Students can compose their strategy and accordingly they can increase their chances of qualifying the exam.

PUMDET is generally conducted in the month of June-July. The entrance exam dates are informed in advance for students to prepare well for the test. Last year, PUMDET exam scheduled was revised. PUMDET 2023 exam was held on July 30. After the exam, PUMDET result is declared on the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). Candidates are informed that the result for Presidency University Master Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET) is declared in the form of Rank Cards.
