Because those who pursue engineering or some other science courses are only eligible to pursue this PG.

If you have completed graduation in (Physics / bio / chemistry / Zoology / Botany / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Applied Medical Sciences / Biotechnology) / engineering / pharmacy / medicine / BDS then you are eligible for admission. Percentage in last qualified exam (graduation) required for admission in M.Sc. May vary from university to university (50-60%).
