Yes, if the degree is from a recognised institution, many recruiters accept it for Interior Design jobs. Some factors that affect the online degree are its curriculum, college rating, affiliation, practical exposure, etc.

Of course, an online programme in MSc Interior Design is apt for students who wish to get a degree in this field but are not able to opt for a regular on-campus course. It will offer them great flexibility, affordability, and industry recognition.
An online degree course also provides relevant knowledge and skills as a regular program, if you choose the right college.

For the practical exposure, the MSc Interior Design curriculum includes some lab subjects like CAD (Computer-Aided Design), model-making, and materials exploration. These subjects help students get their hands on Design Software, construction, model-making, etc. Many Design colleges have their labs specifically designed to provide an environment where students can explore their creative potential.

The difficulty of an entrance exam depends on its nature and not on the specific course. A single entrance exam can be conducted for many course admissions. For instance, the CUET-PG exam is conducted for many course specializations and fields; hence, its General Test and Aptitude Section are the same for every course, however the domain-specific section has the course-related questions.
Meanwhile, the entrance exams for the MSc in Interior Design can be a bit-competitive based on the course level and the field.
