The difficulty of an entrance exam depends on its nature and not on the specific course. A single entrance exam can be conducted for many course admissions. For instance, the CUET-PG exam is conducted for many course specializations and fields; hence, its General Test and Aptitude Section are the same for every course, however the domain-specific section has the course-related questions.
Meanwhile, the entrance exams for the MSc in Interior Design can be a bit-competitive based on the course level and the field.

An MSc Interior Design and an MDes Interior Design differ based on their curriculum focus. MSc Interior Design is more focused on the research part of the field; however, the MDes is inclined toward the creativity and functionality aspects of Interior Designing. Now, which option is better is a subjective question, and its answer can vary from person to person.
In my opinion, I would go for MDes in Interior Design in terms of job prospects, skills development, and industry exposure.
