Admission to B.Tech at MVJ College of Engineering is based on candidates' performance in the entrance exam, Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). For admission to the management quota, the institute accepts COMEDK UGET, AMPCK, and JEE Main scores in addition to KCET.
