The university is recognised and funded by UGC as well as is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. It has been accredited by NAAC with a grade A+. Moreover, Madurai Kamaraj University was established in the year 1965 and is a State University which is owned and funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Madurai Kamaraj University offers a vast range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to students, including 44 PG, 40 MPhil, 57 PhD programmes, and 17 diploma/ PG diploma/certificate courses. The courses include MBA. MSc, BSc, BCom, MA, BA, MCom, BCA, UG Diploma, etc. Candidates also need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for MKU admissions.

Moreover, the university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited with an “A+” grade in the 4th cycle by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The Madurai Kamaraj University BBA fee range between INR 9 K - INR 2.52 Lacs and MBA fees range between INR 4.75 K - INR 7.08 lakh. Moreover, the fee for BSc ranges between INR 1.38 K - INR 4.49 Lacs and the fees for MSc range between INR 500 - INR 1.5 lakh. Similarly, the MKU BCom fee range between INR 1.31 K - INR 3.83 lakh.
