These criteria have been put in place to make sure that students coming to the BSc programme have the necessary background. Admission is made based on merit. There is no entrance examination for admission to this programme. Following are the eligibility criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Science course at Maharani College, Mysore: 

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the two-year pre-university examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in Karnataka State or any other examination considered equivalent.

Subject Requirements: The candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination in relevant subjects, which normally shall be Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. 

The following documents are to be submitted to Maharani College office at time of admission: 

• Duly filled application with a passport size photograph pasted to it
• Three passport size photographs
• Attested copy of the SSLC/10th marks card
• Attested copy of the qualifying exam (II PUC/12th Grade)
• SC/ST students – Attested copy of the Caste Certificate issued by the Authorised Officer, with a validity of 5 years
• Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB – Attested copy of the Caste and Income Certificates issued by the Revenue Officer in the format prescribed by the Govt.
• Attested copy of the Migration certificate for students from outside Karnataka.
• Copy of Aadhar card
• Differentially Abled Candidate should enclose a copy of disability or handicap certificates issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner
