Admission to all the Maitreyi College courses is entrance-based. While Maitreyi College accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses, admission to all the PG programmes will be subject to the CUET- PG exam starting admission 2023. The institute along with DU started accepting CUET UG starting 2022 and the CUET PG from 2023 session onward. Before this, admission to UG was based on merit in Class 12 and PG admission was mostly subject to DUET exam previously conducted by DU. The eligibility requirements for all the popular programmes offered by the college are tabulated below:

To get admission in Maitreyi College, you should appear and pass in any of the Diploma subject Certificate examinations which is offered and affiliated by the Maitreyi College for that specific language. Selection and admission in on the basis of merit system which is your marks obtained in the examination if that specific language you opted for. If by chance, you appeared for that course language from any other institution and also qualified it, still you have to appear for the admission test of the Diploma course which is organized by Maitreyi College itself to get enrolled here.

Maitreyi college being in South campus of Delhi university have different eligibility requirements for different courses. In general to apply for any course, you should pass your 10th and 12th class with minimum 40 percent marks in total. To apply for the Science courses, you should have Science subjects like Biology Chemistry Physics as your 12th class's subject. Similarly, for the courses of commerce and arts, you should have the subjects of these specific courses in your 12th class.
