The quality of food served in the Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology (MRCET) hostel mess has been mixed. While on the positive side, the college offers basic necessities such as purified water and power supply for 24 hours, the quality of the food has been criticized due to unhygienic conditions and the presence of worms in food, which resulted in student protests. Although the mess offers basic food articles, there is an urgent need to improve the taste and hygiene of the articles to improve the overall dining experience.
