MIT Bengaluru is an off campus of MAHE, Manipal. The campus started functioning in the year 2021 and is spread across 80 acres.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, is a self-financing higher educational institution that started its operations in 1953 by establishing the first self-financing medical college as Public Private collaboration model. Over the years various institutions have been added and finally, in June 1993, this group of institutions have been declared as a Deemed to be University by the Govt. of India. Its excellent track record in academics, infrastructure, and research contributions and its standing in the national and international rankings, culminated in it being declared as an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University (IoE) by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, in October 2020. 

The basic eligibility requirement is BCA/ BSc Computer Science/ IT from a recognised institute with 50% aggregate marks. The university provides direct admissions to the course based on merit. Foreign/ NRI category candidates are also admitted to the course after fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

This course is offered in two streams of Science and Management. Admission to MIT Pune MCA course is entrance-based. Students need to qualify for either MAH MCA CET, which is a state-level entrance exam in Maharashtra. Another option is to qualify for MIT-WPU CET, which is an in-house entrance exam of MIT-WPU.

The placement process for the 2023 passing-out batch is still ongoing. So far,  94% of students have been placed. A total of 339 recruiters visited the institute campus. The highest participation of recruiters was witnessed in the BTech courses. Manipal Institute of Technology average package for the 2023 drive stood at INR 12.59 LPA and the the highest package offered was INR 54.75 LPA. Further, For Computer Related Branches the Average package for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is INR 16.92 LPA,  for Computer and Communication (CCE) it stands for INR 16.33 LPA,  for Information Technology (IT) it was INR 13.60 LPA  and overall for Computer stream it is INR 15.89 LPA with overall 385 students placed out of 408 students . The median package for all the branches stood at INR 8.5 LPA. At PG level, Manipal Institute of Technology provides full-time degree course in Master of Comuter Applications (MCA). During the commencement of this course, the institute provides opportunities to its students to enhance their practical learnings by several in-semester projects, industry collaborations, etc., apart from the regular classroom education.

The curriculum of this course revolves around the knowledge of domains such as Internet of Things, computational intelligence, cyber forensics, game programming, ethical hacking, etc. Students who get a PG degree for MCA can build their career in blooming job profiles such as Engineers, Data Analyst, Product Engineers, Mobile Developer, Web Designers, etc.

For admission to a two-year MTech course at MIT Manipal, there is minimum eligibility criteria that is required to fulfil by every aspirant. Candidates who passed graduation in a relevant branch of B.E. or BTech with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised university are eligible to apply for this course. It's mandatory for all the aspirants to fulfil the eligibility requirement before applying for the course. MIT Manipal MTech admissions are completely based on the merit of candidates in the last qualifying exam of undergraduation and scores obtained in MET/ GATE entrance exam.
