1. What is nautical science?
Nautical Science refers to the basic knowledge which is required to safely navigate and operate a ship. The subjects include navigation and seamanship. Seamanship is the basic operation of shipboard equipment and tools.

The three-year B.Sc nautical science is a course which is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, which falls under the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. The three-year B.Sc course is strictly residential.
