Both are good at there respective places.
about filmmaking
Filmmaking contains all the aspects regarding film, i.e script acting camera sound, editing.
If you want to learn filmmaking then go for asifm. because there degree available for proper film making course along with specialization in a single aspect. admission through entrance exam and interview
in AAFT you can learn single aspect of filmmaking i.e direction only or acting only etc. But ASIFM offering full filmmaking course, so go with asifm according to your query.

The best way to prepare is download previous years question papers and check out the modules they have asked for. Such as Mathematics, abstract reasoning, General awareness, Indian culture, Indian drama history, architecture, folk music. For interview prepare basic question about the course you would like to pursue. And get proper knowledge on it.
Good luck!
