Hello,
St. Xavier's-Mumbai is the best one for mass communication in Mumbai. It offers BM (Media Studies). I am not sure about PG though.
Thanks.

AICTE has nothing to do with this course and even this Department. the Directorate of Distance Education is duly approved by the Distance Education Council of India which approved the Distance Learning Institution degrees.
This is duly acknowledged by UGC as well.
I did this PG Diploma and then did Post Graduation ad well.
after doing this PGDJMC, I directly got into Second Year of MA Mass Journalism and Mass Comm.

The most supportive thing you have is the current status of your job. Already in the field of creativity and in fact advertising and copywriting, you can definitely think of getting into production, editing and filmmaking. It is suggested that you see colleges or institutions around you like FTII-Pune and Symbiosis-Pune, those who teach Film Making and Editing and Direction as well. Please note that you may specialise in trailers through experience, but your training has to be of filmmaking, editing and direction.

My answer is not on behalf or for the university in the question but there is one thing common to all as a rule, you can do a postgraduation in a subject that you have studied in graduation. However, it is not applicable in mass communication subject (PG).
For psychology and even literature, it is applicable.
Hence I shall say that mass communication or journalism is possible.

FCP - Final Cut Pro is taught to students who do their graduation or even post-graduation in Film Making, Media Production, Editing, Visual Editing, etc. If you are not opting for a Formal Degree after 12th then you have to find out some academy at your possible preference of place. Private academies shall share what their fee is same for computer hardware.

Why Not!
Yes, there are distance learning available in Mass Communication And Journalism subject. Apart from the Core Technical Subjects, M.A. Or M.Sc. Is available in Mass Comm or Advt and PR as well. You want to know specially about the government Employee of Odisha, I want to tell that government employees or Defence Personnel are welcomed in the Distance Learning Courses, both by government and Private Universities. Take care of one thing that the Distance Learning Degree you do must be from an Approved Distance Learning department of the Universities.

A degree in Mass Comm and in Journalism is same. Mass Communication or Journalism are the nomenclatures given by different universities in the countries. A B.J. M. C. B.M.C. is all the same thing.
