Documentary production/cinematography is a specialisation domain, and there may be many things that you will need to keep learning along with the production learning. The suggestions that I can make are:
1 A Degree in a popular Language that shall be used in your works and place
2 Content Writing and Proof Reading
3. Web Development and Digital Marketing
4. Music and Sound Mixing Basics/Audio Production
5. Advertising and Public Relations Management.

The certification would help you in giving an experience. Diploma will be help you to learn various aspects of photography and in a detailed manner for few years which will give you much more exposure than the certification. Diploma will be suggested rather than certification.

Hi Surabhi, Both the fields are incomparable. Its like comparing apples to oranges, The study of mass communication is often associated with the practical applications of journalism (Print media), television and radio broadcasting, film, public relations, or advertising. On the other hand, fashion design is the applied art dedicated to clothing and lifestyle accessories created within the cultural and social influences of a specific time. The scope of both these courses are equally good. LPU provides both the programs with cutting edge curriculum and admissions are open. All the best.

There are around 46 central universities in India and telling about every university does not really make any sense. It's better if you let us know about your location, so that we can guide you better.
