Lovely Professional University offers B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication).One of my cousin has completed BJMC programme from this University.He shared his experience so I got to know about this course.

The program is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. The main Focus is on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc.
He told me School of Education, Lovely Professional University- LPU is a leading teacher education institution in northern India. The school offers courses from undergraduate to doctorate level. The courses are recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and the state government.
They have their own in campus media channel- Y TV, where the students work and have hands on experience of the real life media channel scenario. Apart from this there are many other events like Coke Studio, YouthVibe, etc taking place where the students are made part of it to give them the filed experience. Hi Ayushman, Yes, every student can pursue Journalism studies after 12th. AFCOS, New Delhi is the hub for most of existing media houses. However, it does not mean that you can have good institutes to study journalism and mass communication. Few things you should keep on your mind prior to proceed for Journalism degree. Do they have an experienced faculty (Faculty must have expertise in theory and practical both). Do they have Adequate/appropriate equipment to make you expert in handling them? Do they have Audio/Video studio to teach them practically. Are they running any Media house? Do they provide the platform to you for doing practices? Do they have such atmosphere where you can have an experience to perform practically? Do they have Industrial Tie-ups? Do they provide Teachings from external experts? LPU is coming on my mind because they do provide all above mentioned salient features. LPU is producing smart and Intelligent journalists. Not only journalists you can find LPU journalism students at various sectors of Media and Entertainment. For e. g. : I know one LPU Student who got placed as a Celebrity Manager in T-series. LPU provides teaching by Doctorate faculty along with the handful practical study by experienced professionals. LPU has Adequate/appropriate equipment which they use on regular basis for making their children well trained even practically. LPU have separate Professional Audio and Large size Video Studio. Whereas Multimedia and Animation adds on the spark to the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
