Answer to this question completely depends upon the University you choose because each and every university in India have lil bit difference in subjects. NIMCJ college in Ahmedabad provides a mix of both in PG Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism.

It depends where you applying for the job. If you have completed your mass communication and journalism from Australia and you applied for job in Indian or any US based company then definitely you'll get a job. That still depend how much knowledge gain from curriculum.
