1. The faculty is highly educated and experienced in its field of interests and subjects they teach. They are very determined and helpful and have a tendency to upgrade and promote all their students and their talents.
2. Field work also plays a huge role in one's learning and so is also known by the university. Hence, various industrial visits, in house competitions, events, etc., are conducted to encourage students and overcome their fears and discomforts etc.

You could do one thing, do a job for some time then buy a DSLR and a photography kit then you can start with small things this will help you to build your photography skills too. You have to put a lot of effort into it and after some time, it will take you to a high level too so don't give up.
