VFX is much in use these days and is surely going to remain a lead requirement and part of the screen works in electronic media, films etc. There are two options that your son can keep for a career in VFX- one is to Do private level courses from academies that won't provide degree of a recognised university and the second option is to go for a graduation in Graphic, Animation and associated VFX domain. Hyderabad, Mumbai are leading places for such courses. AAFT, Symbiosis, ARENA, and many more offer B.Sc. Animation and Visual Effects etc. The basic qualification is 12th and his being from Science won't matter. He is eligible.

Hello Dev,
To become a photographer, it is not mandatory that you should study journalism and mass communication. You can study any of the degrees and go for a PG Diploma in photography which are being offered by many good institutes in India. You can choose any of the courses and then do a Diploma in photography and start your career as a professional wildlife photographer.

The earning of a Radio Jockey is dependent on his/her skills. The Mass Comm isn't necessary but it teaches about presenting as a host and helps in securing a job faster. Internships are also very helpful and they are only available to B.J. M. C. students.

It is important to have a degree in journalism to be a good journalist. But, we have many cases where journalists have come from other subject streams like Literature, management, Law and visual arts. But, a good Journalism and Mass Communication allows you to get a bandwidth to specialize and be more employable and a better storyteller, if the university you come from is well known and pedagogy practice based.
