BMM/BMS fall under the category of self-financed courses (comparatively expensive)
This is because these are professional courses provide technical knowledge. They are not just graduation degrees, but will land you in to a technical world. Even after being a government funded college, Xavier's College charge a higher fees for BMM and BMS, as the study kit involved in it charges more than for nominal courses.

Yes. It is required to give some entrance examination, like CAT and then you can join and institution provides MBA in journalism and media. MICA is one of the good option you can opt after cat.

There is one benefit of pursuing your studies from reputed private organizations like the Times of India, ZEE, Jagran or AAFT that you get internships in these organisations easily and if you perform better, you may also get the full-time job in the same organisation in the name of the same Brand. If you have an interest in the design field, you can apply to any design institute. It's not like, only ICAT Design & Media College will accept you. If you have the talent, and passion for the design field, just go for it irrespective of your dropout.
