If you are applying for Masters programme, then an entrance exam is carried out, and if you are applying for Bachelors programme, then it depends upon your marks in class 12th. If you are looking for journalism and Mass Communication, then better to opt for degree programme course that includes combo of both these fields. Apart from this, you have option to go with either journalism degree or with mass communication one. And, you may also apply for some certificate or Diploma courses like that of photography, editing, writing etc. But, best is to go with journalism + Mass communication. The government or private colleges you would have to be very clear in terms of your knowledge and intellect. You have to focus upon few things - prepare a good command over language (English and Hindi build a strong vocabulary, be habitual of reading the newspaper daily, scroll the history like of printing, press, media and focus upon current affairs. What is generally asked in exams is related to language (to check how fluent and good you are), general knowledge (try to read all the facts that are existing from past years as these are generally asked like about games, Olympics, International Relations, Rig Veda, Sam Veda, etc. ). Focus on current affairs and next is the general history. Basically, the reason is to check your knowledge. Thank you.

First, by pursuing a course, second, by your own efforts. On your own you can explore yourself by making a large collection of your work, making an actual visit to wild places, send your work to concerned channels or website. But, this is a long process and surety is not there. Just a matter of potential. Again there are two options in terms if you are thinking to pursue a course. Either go for a three year degree programme or choose a certificate course that lasts for months only. If degree programme than choose B.J. MCA full time 3 year degree course. This would not only help you to be a wildlife photographer but will also build up some other opportunities in distinct sectors like that of editing, anchoring, writing, direction, acting etc. So, you will have more opportunities after that. And if you are opting for certificates course or Diploma than it would be only wildlife photography centric. No other things would be taught. This course generally takes 3 to 6 months, sometime may be 12 months. If you go for this than after months you will be having options to opt another full time degree course. In this way, you will be finishing a certificate course in your choice field on the other hand you will be completing your degree programme too.
