Dear Ashish,
I am answering your question assuming that you are going to appear for MAT december 2016. If this is the case, then you can take admissions once your results are out. The score card would be valid for 1 year. Still I would suggest you to appear in CAT, XAT, SNAP as good colleges (Tier-1) don't accept MAT scores. XAT and SNAP forms would be out by now.

Do you mean PUMBA? You would have to score very high marks in all exams other than MHT-CET as all other exams will be considered under all India seats if you are a Maharashtra student.

You should prepare for CAT exam. If you prepare for CAT, you can easily qualify MAT as CaT is tougher than MAT.

Don't waste your scores by taking admission in average institutes. Try for XIME Bangalore or for KIAMS Bangalore. Remember the tougher the admission process, the better is the overall performance and reputation of the institute in corporate world.

Yes, you can qualify MAT exam without good mathematical skills, but you need to have logical thinking strength and skills for applying basic formulas which we learn in class 9th and 10th.

Hi,
December and February MAT are important because most of the Good colleges close their admission process within March.
So it is better to take December MAT and get good scores to get a seat reserved in the top colleges which accept MAT.
Note: If you want to get admission in the top colleges like IIM, and FMS you have to take CAT exam.
