Hello Nitin, you have asked really interesting and relevant query. But unfortunately the answer is not in one word. When any establishment issues advertisement for vacancies, at that time they will give out eligibility for the prospective candidates to apply. If in your case the advertisement States post graduation in mathematics then you will not be eligible but if it states post graduation in mathematics or any Science subject or graduation in engineering then only you would be eligible. As per the eligibility criteria for Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board:
Admission to B.Arch / B. Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat
Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12thclass examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. Yes, you are eligible for M.Sc. Mathematics through IIT JAM. While not eligible for NIMCET. The eligibility criteria of NIMCET is given below. Eligibility criteria : (I) B.Sc. / B.Sc.
