RNS Institute of Technology or RNSIT admission for various UG and PG courses different depending on the stream. The institute offers programmes in the streams of Engineering, Business & Management, and IT & Software. RNSIT admissions are entrance-based. University Level Exam:

JIS University Entrance Test (JET): JIS University also conducts its own entrance exam, JET, specifically for admission to various programs, including MBA.

The following national level entrance exam results are accepted by Madras University Distance Education (IDE) for admissions-

IIMs administer the Common Admission Test, or CAT.
AIMA administers the Management Aptitude Test (MAT).
CMAT stands for the AICTE's Common Management Admission Test.
XLRI Jamshedpur's Xavier Aptitude Test, or XAT for short.
AIMS Test for Management Admission, or ATMA.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is known as TANCET.
 Madras University IDE accepts valid GMAT results for MBA admission.

In general, the cutoff percentiles for CAT/XAT, CMAT/ATMA, and MAT exams are approximately 70-80%ile, 65-80%ile, and 55-60%ile, respectively.

Applications for the MBA programme at Madras University Distance Education are accepted from candidates who have taken the relevant national level test and meet the required cut-off.
